SUMO TV - What to do when you receive the STB (set top box/TV box)

When you receive the package:

  1. Plug the included power supply into your STB and to an available electrical outlet

  2. Plug the included HDMI cable into an available HDMI port to the back of your TV

  3. Place the included batteries into the remote control and press power to the STB. The STB will display a solid white light indicating it’s on. Red means it’s off.

Upon booting up the STB (Set top box/TV box) please select the follow options to perform the initial setup:

  1. “WELCOME”
    When introduced to the language selection screen, please select “English (United States)

  2. “Quickly set up your TV with your Android phone?”
    We recommend choosing “Skip”. Otherwise hit “Continue” to pair your phone

  3. “Select your Wi-Fi network”
    Find your Wifi network and enter your Wifi password using the remote

  4. “Make most of your TV”
    We recommend choosing “Skip”. Otherwise hit “Continue” to log into your google account

  5. “Terms of Service”
    We recommend to hit “Accept” to move on to the next page

  6. “Google Assistant. Get better voice control of your TV”
    We recommend choosing “Skip”. Otherwise hit “Continue” to log into your google account to use voice control

  7. Setup Assistant later”
    We recommend choosing “Continue”. Otherwise choose ”Sign in" to log into your google account

  8. “Choose a name for your FRC1-MOBI”
    You may select one of the follow options on the screen to indicate which room the STB reside in, or you can “Enter a custom name” at the bottom.

  9. Once the name has been set, proceed to the following pages until you see the SumoTV logo load on your screen.

    If the SumoTV logo does not appear and TiVo is prompting you to log in, please contact Sumofiber at 801-320-1000 to activate the STB.
